Meet Toby 🐾

Toby is a 1-year-old Shih Tzu weighing about 18 lbs, and he’s the perfect mix of playful buddy and professional lap warmer.

This sweet boy loves people and is happiest when he’s close to his humans, so his ideal home would be one where someone is around more often than not. Toby is very affectionate and will gladly trade cuddles for your attention.

He gets along well with other dogs, enjoys playing with toys, and also takes his job as a lap dog and nap enthusiast very seriously. Toby is a low to medium energy guy who simply wants to be part of the family. Respectful kids would likely be just fine for him.

Toby is leash trained, crate trained (though it’s not his favorite), and potty trained. He did mark a bit before he was neutered, but now that he’s fixed he’s already improving. Male wraps are a wonderful invention while he finishes breaking that habit.

As a Shih Tzu, Toby will also need regular grooming to keep his coat healthy and looking handsome.

🐾 Adoption Info:

All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipped prior to adoption.

Our requirements are non-negotiable and include the following:

• All current pets in the home must be spayed or neutered if over 6 months of age, unless there is a documented medical exemption with veterinary confirmation.

• All current dogs must be up to date on Rabies and Distemper/Parvo (DHPP) vaccinations.

• All current dogs must be on consistent, consecutive heartworm prevention.

• Past dogs listed on the application must also show a consecutive history of heartworm prevention.
