Meet Blue

If you’ve been looking for a small dog with a big heart and an easygoing personality… Blue might just be your guy.

Blue is a 7-year-old Pekingese mix weighing in at a perfect 20 lbs of compact cuteness. He’s currently rocking a short haircut (he was trimmed back), but don’t worry — his soft, shiny coat will grow back in beautifully.

He is crate trained, though it’s not his favorite place to hang out. He’s also potty trained. Because he was neutered later in life, he’s currently wearing a little belly band (wee-wee wrap) while those hormones finish settling down. That’s temporary — and he’s handling it like a champ.

Blue is that sweet, steady companion type. Not chaotic. Not complicated. Just a happy little guy who wants to be part of the family.

Adoption Info:

All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipped prior to adoption.

Our requirements are non-negotiable and include the following:

All current pets in the home must be spayed or neutered if over 6 months of age, unless there is a documented medical exemption with veterinary confirmation.

All current dogs must be up to date on Rabies and Distemper/Parvo (DHPP) vaccinations.

All current dogs must be on consistent, consecutive heartworm prevention.

Past dogs listed on the application must also show a consecutive history of heartworm prevention.

The dog you’re applying for might already have a meet-and-greet scheduled, be on a trial with another family, or has been offered to another rescue within our network.
