Personality Snapshot:

Poppy is a “slow burn” kind of girl — she takes a little time to warm up, but once she does, she bonds hard. When she feels safe, she’s 16 pounds of pure fun and joy. She loves to run, play fetch, toss her toys around, and curl up for cuddles. She also enjoys the company of other dogs and finds comfort in them.

Cute Quirk:

When Poppy gets excited, she goes on a mission to steal things, especially items bigger than she is. Winter boots, sweatpants, random laundry — if it’s oversized, it’s fair game.

Not-So-Great Habits:

New people can be scary for Poppy and she may bark at first. Slow, respectful introductions help her feel safe and confident.

Basic commands: sit, come, down

Generally good on leash, though the world can still feel a bit overwhelming at times.

Adoption Info:

All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, wormed, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipped prior to adoption.

Our requirements are non-negotiable and include the following:

All current pets in the home must be spayed or neutered if over 6 months of age, unless there is a documented medical exemption with veterinary confirmation.

All current dogs must be up to date on Rabies and Distemper/Parvo (DHPP) vaccinations.

All current dogs must be on consistent, consecutive heartworm prevention.

Past dogs listed on the application must also show a consecutive history of heartworm prevention.
